Nobody Will Ever Know (from Be SAFE, Not Sorry)

Workplace Retaliation & Sabotage

It can make a lot of us uncomfortable when a co-worker's personal relationship problems spill over into the workplace. There's a tendency to think that it really doesn't concern us - it's none of our business. But when it starts to impact the workplace, it is our business. So, if someone tells you they're being harassed or cyber bullied, or if you suspect that it's a possibility based on the behavior of a co-worker… don't ignore it.

Additional Information

You'd be surprised at how often a manager or someone in HR will know some things about a co-worker that we don't; maybe it's a medical problem, or it might be a family issue, who knows? By letting them know what we've seen, we can help them put all the pieces together and figure out the best solution - counseling, medical treatment, progressive discipline, or whatever. That's something worth keeping in mind.
