Beginning January 1, 2020, Illinois now requires all employers to provide sexual harassment training. SB 75 (also known as the Workplace Transparency Act), mandates that all employees receive sexual harassment training annually. The first deadline is January 1, 2021.
Connecticut has enacted a state law, the Time’s Up Act, expanding sexual harassment training requirements for employers with employees working in Connecticut. Employers must now provide two hours of sexual harassment training to all employees in Connecticut, not just supervisors.
