Information about Video Assets

All videos are in MP4 format.

Most videos in the library are between 6-90 MB. There are some as large as 790 MB (HD video). Minimum bandwidth recommended is a 25 Mbps connection1.

Streaming

Streaming video for previewing during peak Internet times might result in occasional buffering. Examples of typical buffering issues:

  • buttons will not be functional until a partial stream is established
  • video might pause until the stream bandwidth is re-established

Downloading

Downloading video speeds vary based on connections and Internet traffic. Generally, downloading video is less impacted (from a user experience) during peak Internet usage than video streaming.

 

1 Anything less than recommended bandwidth (e.g. 5 Mbps) will make very slow streaming and downloading.
