Additional Information

It's important to meet with the employee to create an action plan for handling situation where extra hours are required. Day care is a common problem, and perhaps the employee needs more warning that extra hours are needed so he or she can make child care arrangements. Perhaps the employee could work from a home terminal, or perhaps it is easier for the employee to put in extra hours before work rather than after. Work with the employee to think of as many options and solutions to the problem as possible.
