That Wasn't a Smart Move! (from Be SAFE, Not Sorry)

Intimidating Others in the Workplace

Intimidating and harassing behavior gets a fair amount of attention from a legal perspective. But what most people don't realize is that it's also a subtle form of workplace violence. People who are targets of intimidation or harassment suffer a great deal - both emotionally and physically. And, if the behavior isn't stopped, it can easily escalate and get out of control.

Additional Information

If you're the target of this kind of intimidating behavior - or you see or hear about it happening - don't put up with it. Ask for help! From your manager, someone in HR or an EEO counselor. And never, ever take - "don't worry about it" for an answer. Once you report it to someone in authority, they have to investigate it and stop it.
