Many people are confused about hiring individuals with disabilities. Some mistakenly think they must hire a person solely because they are disabled. However, if a disabled person cannot perform the job, employers do not have to hire them. While reasonable accommodations must be made, employers are not obligated to give the work to able-bodied individuals.
