Regain Control of the Interview (Behavior-Based Interviewing)

Effective & Legal Interviewing/Hiring

When a candidate takes over the interview - maybe by non-stop talking or story-telling - it's okay to re-take control of the interview by politely interrupting and re-focusing the candidate back to the task at hand.

Additional Information

Getting your questions answered is a key part of the interviewing process. While it may seem rude to interrupt a candidate, it's more important that you get the information you need to make a correct hiring decision.
